iTerm2 is a modern fork of the great but late iTerm. They are separate apps but operate on the same code base. iTerm2 is just a little more up-to-date. For the most part it'll feel a lot like the Terminal app that comes with Mac OS X, but there are plenty of additional features that make it a better option. But iTerm2 is particularly great because of the little things it does.
