Program That Manages Wireless Networks For Mac Os X

To set up your wireless connection in Mac OS X, follow the steps below: From your desktop screen, you should see a wireless adapter status icon next to your clock. This icon may look slightly lighter than the others here. Click on this icon as shown in the screenshot. After you click on that icon, a list of Wi-Fi networks should appear. You might know how to manage your networks in Windows, but what about OS X? Well, most wireless networks in OS X work in pretty much the same way. Connecting to a wireless network is very easy and simply requires you to find the network and enter the credentials.
The default mail program is the software that is registered with your operating system as the software that is to handle mailto URL's. When another application wants to send an email, it looks up the default and passes the email to the default mail program.
Use the following steps to change the default mail program in Mac OS X:
The old Network Utility was appropriate primarily for network gurus. OS X 10.4 came with Network Diagnostics, which took a user-friendlier hand-holding approach.
Open the Mail application from the Applications folder.
Click on the Mail menu and select Preferences...
Click the General button. If you don't see the General button, click on the small oval in the upper right corner to reveal it.
Select a new default mail program from the Default Email Reader menu (e.g. Thunderbird, Entourage).
